A Simple Christmas Tag

These are fun tags anyone can make for Christmas packages, whether it is a gift box or a gift bag~

Start with simple tags. These are vintage or tea stained tags.
These measure 3 - 1/2" x 1 - 1/2"
and can be found on etsy.com

Choose a nice green and red paper, either plain or one with a pattern.
The two punches I used are both Martha Stewart craft punches that can
be found at Michael's Crafts Store or anywhere that carries
Martha Stewart Supplies

Once you have punched your paper, you can then decide if you'd
like to decorate both sides of the tag. You can use only the bells,
the green leaves or both. It's nice to play around with the pieces
to see what you like.

On this tag I used both leaves along with the bell.
Attached them on the tag with a spot of craft glue
or with mini Glue dots

As you can see from these two tags, it's nice to have variety.

In the example below, I've given you the idea of turning the tag horizontally. Remember, for longer names, you can use both the front and back of the tag if you choose.
TO: can be placed on the front of the tag
FROM: can be placed on the back of the tag
Play around with your tag and see what you like best.

You will need a piece of blue paper along with a piece of clear vellum paper.
The punch I used for this tag is a Martha Stewart Snowflake design punch.

Punch one of each

Attach the blue tag down first, placing the vellum snowflake over the top,
off center, just a bit, to give it more depth.
Take your black marker and add your  TO: and FROM:

I hope you enjoy making these fun tags. It's a great way to spend a morning when you're snowed in and have nowhere to go or nothing to do!
