As I stand in front of the mirror
I look at myself and
I am tired.
My shirt reminds me of the meatballs and sauce
I made earlier today.
Red against green reminds me of Christmas
which reminds me of the order for 12 x 12
Christmas designed scrapbooking paper I did not complete.
A diversion stopped me from hitting the checkout prompt
from Two Peas in a Bucket
a shopping cart overflowing and ready to be taken care of.
As I stand in front of the mirror
I see my face and
I look tired.
Not having time to do my hair
or apply makeup
reminding me I was in a hurry
to take myself to my mothers
because she was not feeling well.
Shoulders aching from stress of the day.
A skirt & vest pattern sits patiently waiting to be
laid on material, pinned down and cut out.
Hurrying to make the meatballs and sauce
throwing a pot roast in the crock pot before I go.
Remembering to add potatoes and carrots later
peas on the side for those who dislike carrots.
Picking up after the dog so the landscaper can mow without incident.
Heading out to get the boys from school.
As I stand in front of the mirror
I see a women
who is tired
and is no different from anyone else who has a family to take care of.

This is great! Unless you are a Mother, you don't understand this.
My kids are grown, but the worry and stress doesn't stop....I look tired too.
You are very busy and you have a lot of stress...try to de-stress and enjoy.
On top of raising 2 boys, you still have your Mom to worry about..this is not an easy life... at this time in your life you now have your husband and your boys and then your elderly Mother.
You are a wonderful wife, Mother and Daughter..that..I know.
Have a good day.
Hi Barbara,
All who hold their role as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend as a treasured piece of their existence have felt this truth.
Yes, we are tired at times however
we have been blessed with choosing to fulfill our purpose on purpose to those we love and care about.
Know you are treasured! Margaret MC
